The third member of the Survivor: David vs. Goliath jury arrives at Ponderosa making a brand new connection and rekindling another.

Warning: This post will discuss the events of Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 9, as well as reveal who became the third member of the jury and the latest to arrive at Ponderosa.

Once again, the post-merge game of Survivor: David vs. Goliath remains as stellar as the pre-merge phase. The Davids are starting to swing the momentum back in their favor, taking out another big threat in Dan Rengering. Sure, it took yet another advantage in the game to get him out (two, in fact) and he successfully played an idol on himself, but the brand new Idol Nullifier made an appearance, making his exit a memorable one.

Instead of getting too upset that he was voted out with a brand new power that wasn’t explained to him in the rules, Dan Rengering arrived at Survivor Ponderosa as the third juror with a bit of positivity. As he mentioned, he came to set an example for his children, showing that you don’t need to lie, cheat and steal to thrive in life. Sure, it means getting voted out in 11th place, but he gave it a damn good try nonetheless.

In fact, instead of spending all his time at Ponderosa reconnecting and glomming onto his fellow fallen Brochacho, he took this opportunity to connect with Elizabeth. No longer are they rivals vying to take each other out, but parents establishing a bond over the difficulty of playing in Survivor, leaving the children at home and hoping they understand why they left them for weeks. It was a touching moment that I didn’t expect coming.

What followed was part of the Brochacho shenanigans I hoped would transpire. In addition to bro-ing out, the Brochahos teamed up to establish a comedic introduction video for all incoming Brochahos. Drinking whiskey, doing pull-ups, keeping your hair on point, keeping “Brochaho” as a Hubickuitous word; these are all key factors in maintaining the lifestyle.
