The ‘Strike Force’  alliance created after the merge in Survivor: David vs. Goliath, only lasted one tribal before Mike tried to break it up. Could we see this inter-tribal alliance resurface with a replacement?

In the first few days following the merge of Survivor: David vs. Goliath, we saw the formation of a dangerous six-person alliance. Alec took the lead in getting Christian, Gabby, and Nick to work with Mike, Alison and himself to form a secret alliance across tribal lines. Christian later coined the name: the Strike Force.

The goal of this alliance was just to vote status quo until the Strike Force had the numbers, giving them the opportunity to turn the tables. That all changed when Mike realized how big of a threat Christian is and attempted to take him out in back to back Tribal Councils.

Does that mean the Strike Force alliance is no more? At the moment, it looks like Mike won’t ever rekindle with that alliance, but that doesn’t mean someone else can’t take his place! During this past episode of Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Kara proved herself the perfect fit to start working on alliances across tribal lines.

This week’s episode marked a change in Kara’s attitude toward her gameplay. She was tired of being tied to Dan and wanted to determine her own fate in the game, even to the point of conceiving a plot with the Davids to vote him out.

Tribal Council definitely didn’t go the way she expected, but Kara stuck with the plan she told the Davids by voting Angelina in case of Dan’s idol. Her vote was a great way to build trust with the castaways that hold the most power in the game. Unlike Mike, Kara didn’t have the same confidence in sticking Goliath strong.

So if Kara is ready to start playing the game, the big question is if the Strike Force alliance is still in the works. In terms of the Davids; Christian, Gabby, and Nick are all strategic players that have acknowledged at some point it will come time to get rid of a threat like Davie. Plus, with the promo teasing Carl getting frustrated with Gabby, it might be sooner rather than later when the Davids start voting against each other.

For the Goliath side of the Strike Force, Alec’s close relationship with Nick puts him in a position to work with this alliance moving forward. The only questionable member of this alliance is Alison.

She’s been teasing Gabby and the Davids for several days now that she wanted to work with them, but there’s been no action behind her claims. With Nick using the Vote Steal advantage against her, it’s hard to say how Alison will feel about working with them after that.

Regardless of what Alison does, there still is the making for strong strategic players from both tribes coming together to eliminate common threats. My guess is that Nick, Gabby, Christian, Alec, and Kara will be a part of if it for at least a couple of votes.
