Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 9 Kara Kay

6. Kara Kay

This was a huge episode for Kara’s game. She deliberated over whether or not to take out Dan and pull off a big move by ostensibly decoupling herself from her showmance spot. Even though she ultimately backed down and played along the tribal lines, she did get the opportunity to throw her vote off of the original plan, have Dan voted out and walked away without blood on her hands.

Though this may not seem like a winning move, Kara’s game is about using her social clout to advance in the game and come out on the other side unscathed. She has a solid trio in Alec and Alison; the Goliaths willing to cross over to the Davids and aren’t bigger targets than Mike and Angelina.

With the sudden push of visibility and the majority of such an important episode given to Kara out of nowhere and being a small part of the Goliath majority, we could see the beginning of Kara’s coming out party. The next two hours of Survivor television will likely make or break Kara’s viability as a winner, as she’s the likeliest Goliath left in the game capable of earning a jury vote.

One vote she would likely be impossible to obtain? Dan Rengering, that’s for sure!
