3. Gabby Pascuzzi

It’s hard to place Gabby’s game in the grander scheme of things. She’s in on the votes, but without an advantage or power in the game, she’s been a secondary or tertiary voice of David in Survivor: David vs. Goliath post-merge episodes. However, she made big strides in solidifying her bond with Alison, although that didn’t ultimately come to fruition as well as it should.

Yes, Alison did renege and tried to stay Goliath strong but gave the tacit approval to Alec and Kara to vote Angelina after the Vote Steal in an attempt to provide Gabby an olive branch and a way into the majority alliance. This was after Alison had her vote stolen, too, which shows the strength of Gabby’s social game while not being an obvious threat for the Davids.

How Gabby handles the perceptions of others and her own standing in the game will determine her longevity and winner chances going forward. We saw in the “Next Time On Survivor” preview that Carl is throwing her name out, and she is not taking it well. We could see a power struggle within the Davids, which might hurt her chances to win if she’s perceived as betraying their side.

Remember, only Christian has really seen her crying, even if it’s a been an ongoing theme in confessionals. Unless it’s also at camp and we do not see it, blindsiding a David player while Goliaths are still in the game at Final 10 or 9 might hurt her standing.
