The Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 12 preview video sees players pair up to win the Loved Ones reward, bringing some fun couples together.

This post will discuss the events of Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 12 as seen in the preview clip, which includes players competing in the Reward Challenge and some of the loved ones they are competing for the chance to hang out with that day.

There’s an unspoken rule in Survivor; you do not win the Loved Ones Reward Challenge. It puts you in a position where people can be upset with you for not choosing them for this wholly emotional moment with family, which in turn can spell your demise in the long run. There have been just four winners of their seasons to have won that challenge, too, and there have been close to 44 recipients late in the game.

That said, all those stats and figures fall to the wayside when you see your family member in front of you, and that will motivate the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 12 competitors in this preview clip provided by CBS. It’s “appropriately” titled “s37_120318_clip1,” which suggests another clip may be on its way in the future!

We have an older group of family members this time around, and it doesn’t look as though The Amazing Race co-competitor Mel White will join his son this time out. The teams competing for love are Christian and Gabby, Alison and Kara, Angelina and Nick, and Mike and Davie, with each team running out to climb underneath an obstacle.

From there, they must dig two balls up from under the ground in an area considerably smaller than that in Kaoh Rong (thank goodness). Once those balls are dug up, they will need to throw them onto a perch at the end to win reward.

Considering that Gabby is planning on taking Christian out and Angelina once wanted to take Nick out, this Reward Challenge shows how much the game can change in an instant.
