Is there a chance that Angelina, the master of rice negotiations, can be a sneaky pick to win Survivor: David vs. Goliath?

Early on in this season of Survivor, Angelina Keeley looked like a dangerous, manipulative player who had the power to control the votes to her liking. There was one vote early on in the game when the majority wanted to write down Natalie Cole’s name, but Angelina wanted Jeremy Crawford to go. Angelina singlehandedly got every Goliath member to change their vote to Jeremy!

However, Angelina’s gameplay just went down from there. Going against her own tribe to inform Elizabeth that she was the target really ruined her game… along with the jacketgate mess and her nerve to blackmail Davie with rice! Is there still enough time for her to recover and actually become the Sole Survivor?

Angelina’s chances of making Final Tribal

Out of the six remaining castaways, Angelina has arguably the best shot at making Final Tribal. At this point, it’s hard not to see Angelina as a goat. After her crazy antics of telling Elizabeth about the vote backfired, many people lost trust in her. As Christian mentioned in a secret confessional, it’s clear that every word out of Angelina’s mouth is used to better her position in the game.

Angelina doesn’t seem to be anywhere near the hot seat for the next two Tribal Councils. The focus is on getting out the big threats including Davie, Alison, and Nick. When it comes down to the Final Four, the person who wins the necklace will choose someone to join them in the Final Three. With the five remaining castaways being strategic-thinkers, there’s a good chance they are going to select someone who they know they can beat, and Angelina is at the top of their lists. This is especially true after Mike made a big move during the last Tribal Council.

Angelina’s chances of receiving votes at Final Tribal

While Angelina’s road to the Final Three is fairly simple, her odds at becoming the Sole Survivor are quite the opposite. If she makes it to the end with Nick or Davie, she has no shot at all. Their social and strategic moves after the merge and ability to survive despite being on the wrong side of the numbers, completely dwarfs Angelina’s gameplay.

Although Alison doesn’t have a winning edit, I can’t see Angelina getting more votes than a player who everyone wants out. The fact that several castaways talk about Alison being a threat to grab many jury votes is a strong indication that the edit isn’t fully showing her gameplay because she isn’t going to make the Final Three.

Angelina’s best shot is going to the end with Mike and Kara, who up until last vote haven’t built up much of a resume. The edit has given us very little of Kara since Dan got blindsided, which isn’t a good sign when we’re so close to the end! Mike has been sitting back, letting other players step up until he finally orchestrated a Christian blindside.

Even if Angelina is sitting beside Mike and Kara at the end, she hasn’t really done anything post-merge that is deserving of a jury vote. She has already flaunted the one good deed she has done of negotiating the rice for the tribe. The fact that several castaways have called her out for being ingenuine may hint to a jury who’s not going to value her game.

Overall Rundown: Angelina is safe for the next few votes and has the best odds of making Final Tribal. However, she hasn’t made any significant moves for this smart jury to appreciate, and quite frankly, several players don’t respect the game she is playing. In order for her to come out with a surprise victory she’s going to have to take the lead in voting out Alison, Davie and Nick. And she should never talk about that rice ever again!
