6) Eric Hafemann

Though usually the newbies that target returnees early are bound to become voting fodder sooner rather than later, we’ve been given more hope for Eric than previous newbies that came before him. The idea that returnees being targeted was pushed by him and has permeated throughout Survivor: Edge of Extinction. Plus, he can provide strength at challenges, establishing his worth through the tribal phase.

5) Ron Clark

With a number of advantages to peruse through his Advantage Menu (good lord, are there too many advantages in the game now), Ron has a veritable pick of the advantage litter right now. He is guaranteed at least safety through the third Tribal Council, and he’s become the tribe’s socialite early. He’s keeping everyone happy; that’s exactly what you want to do early.

4) Rick Devens

The Kool-Aid Man himself has integrated well at Manu. The self-described dad bod has a place at the table when it comes to strategic talk, he’s no slouch in challenges, he’s on nobody’s radar, and he has so many threats ahead of him. I actually have Rick pegged to go insanely far in Survivor: Edge of Extinction, so I’d be surprised if he receives a vote in pre-merge barring being swap-screwed.
