With so much content shoved into the episode, it’s hard not to rely on the bonus content to get your proper fill. Surprisingly, theSurvivor: Edge of Extinctionepisode 2 secret sceneoffers up a decidedly old school look at an old school kind of player, focusing on the Kama tribe returning from their challenge and Eric catching fish.

He does bring up a good point that’s not discussed; Fiji is a paradise, even within the context of the game. Though Eric hopes that by providing for his tribe he will earn favor to tip the scales in a close vote (like it’s 2000-eraSurvivor), he does take the fishing advantage and put it to use for Eric time. A lonely boy finds peace in fishing, so they say.

Apologies for not covering theSurvivor: Edge of Extinctionsecret scenefor last week’s episode, as it’s pretty hilarious with the context removed. It’s a bit too meta and covers the bases of “returnees bad, newbies good” seen in both episodes, but we do get to hear about Gavin trying to absorb the power of the man bun and use it to help win this game.

It’s clear from both episodes and theSurvivor: Edge of Extinctionsecret scenes that Eric and Gavin have a huge part in this season’s story. Just how far they will go is anybody’s guess right now.
