It’s tribe swap time on Survivor: Edge of Extinction! This is when the gameplay starts to heat up, separating the good players from the great.

It’s only taken three Tribal Councils, but production can’t seem to get enough of expanding two tribes into three. Sometimes a swap feels a little too rushed, but with Manu struggling, it will finally give us the opportunity to watch the other castaways in action. Here are three stories to watch for in tonight’s episode of Survivor: Edge of Extinction

1) Will Kama stick together?

The Kama tribe is entering the swap with an overwhelming three player advantage. It’s basically a given that they will be in the majority for at least two of the three new tribes. If it turns out like David vs. Goliath, there is a chance that all three tribes will consist of more Kama members than Manu.

The big question is if Kama will stick together? It didn’t look like any of the two tribes were particularly close to each other. There was a clear division in Kama. Aubry and Joe, along with Aurora were being hunted by the six other first-timers.

If Eric, Gavin or Victoria have the opportunity to blindside a returnee on their new tribe, I think they will take it, even if it means betraying old tribal lines. Plus, David and Wentworth both have been playing great social games, so I could see them recruiting someone like Julia or Julie to their side.

2) Which player will make their move?

With only five people on a tribe now, a big move is usually just one persuasive conversation away. We saw Alec take advantage of this opportunity in David vs. Goliath, not being afraid to go against tribal lines.

We know that Eric and Gavin have been plotting to get a returning player out for the longest time. If any of them end up going to Tribal tonight, I could definitely see them making their move to blindside a Survivor veteran. The same could be said about Ron, Victoria and Rick.

For the returning players, this is Aubry’s time to shine. Now with the security of an idol, it will be interesting to see if she can recover from her poor social game and survive a Tribal or two without using her idol. This swap will also test David and Wentworth’s social game, as they will likely be in the minority and have work quickly to build bonds with the original Kama tribe members.

3) A third idol comes into play!

So far, Lauren found the idol at the Manu camp, and Aubry discovered the idol at Kama. With a tribe expansion, five castaways will get the chance to explore a new beach in search of another idol.

We’ll have to wait and see who the five castaways will be, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them finds the idol in tonight’s episode. Joe, Aurora, Wendy and Wentworth need it the most at this point, so if one of them finds they are golden.
