Just as the case has been all season, be prepared for even more Extinction Island as we take a look at the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 secret scenes.

This post will show the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 and 6 secret scenes, showing an extended scene and a brand new scene from this week’s two-hour block of Survivor.

I’m kind of surprised to see where we’re at after this week’s two episodes of Survivor. We’re set to have a 13-person merge in an 18-person season; a first for the show. A player is going to compete for the opportunity to come back into the game. We might legitimately see the Outcasts challenge from Pearl Islands to see who returns in Edge of Extinction.

The struggle to return to the game is the focus of the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 secret scenes, with the first video being an extended look at the first advantage search of the night. Remember when everyone agreed to look for the advantages as a group? Keith abandoned everyone’s trust and went off on his own immediately.

Whereas the episode was a lot harsher on Keith, this secret scene focuses more on Keith’s struggle on the island immediately after Chris found the practice advantage. It honestly felt like a dishonest, jarring tonal shift, making Keith look a lot more sympathetic than he did during the episode. It’s easy to see why this wasn’t an extended scene.

The Edge of Extinction episode 6 secret scene (yes, this was two episodes last night) shows just how boring the Edge of Extinction life is for the players. While everyone is off sleeping and not playing the game, Rick is doing his best to have a long-lasting impact by … giving a crab a shell for safety.

This is the weirdest Survivor secret scene that I can remember, as half of it seems like raw footage slapped together at the last second. Rick leaves the crab and the camera hangs for like seven awkward seconds, as it looks like CBS scrounged for any last-second footage they could to fill the second hour’s extra content.
