6. Kelley Wentworth

Though Kelley has a huge target on her back going into the merge, she has a ton of options going for her. She has an Immunity Idol in her pocket to keep her safe for at least another round. She also has the capability to stay safe through Immunity Challenges as a well-rounded player (unless it involves diving). Who knows; she may even find another idol while working on establishing a counter-alliance.

5. Gavin Whitson

Though he’s one of the contingent of players working on getting out returnees (including Joe, although that may come later), this Survivor superfan also knows the merit in working with anybody to take down coming threats. He’s had more of a backseat role to his number one alliance partner, though that does make him safer.

4. Eric Hafemann

Eric would have a huge target heading into the merge in any other season than Survivor: Edge of Extinction. Because he has three (possibly four) returnees to vote out ahead of him, his ability to stay in the middle of the pack socially and possibly compete for immunity in the end game means he can form a path directed for the end of this game.
