David and Devens had time to sober up, as the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 9 preview shows that the two are back working together again.

This Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 9 preview will showcase what may be the first minute of television content set to air on Wednesday night.

Heading into the Survivor: Edge of Extinction merge, Kama had a stranglehold of this game. Four players from Manu/Lesu voted out the fifth who just returned, burned and scorned. Even though they voted out Joe at the merge, the 7-5 numbers seemed to dictate the rest of the game. However, Wardog whispered little secrets into Gavin and Julia’s ears, and the rest was history.

With Kelley stewing like DMX saying “Y’all Making Me Crazy” (and later, presumably, “Y’all gon’ make me lose my mind”), David Wright is trying to mend broken friendships with Rick Devens. As the Edge of Extinction episode 9 preview shows, not only is he trying to pick up the pieces of his broken Survivor marriage partnership with Rick but is trying to obtain full custody of the two idol halves both share together.

As we saw in the last episode, despite Rick Devens being a bit drunk with … power (misplaced, indubitably), his rejection of the Lesu tribe players was a lot softer to David. I mentioned it in the recap, but it felt like a moment out of Captain America: Civil War; Iron Man was reluctantly okay to work with those who betrayed him, while Captain America wanted to retain his freedom. You know who’s who.

Now David and Devens are back, moving on from their squabbles and trying to figure a way back into a survival plan together. Devens might have a better chance of reintegrating the pair considering he voted alongside Julie and Ron (both of whom are fairly bitter at this stage). Will it work? Will one of them use their joint custody idol? We’re heading towards chaos, people!
