Survivor Edge of Extinction episode 12 promo: Love and deception
It seems like the world is out to get Rick Devens, but the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 12 promo shows that love is just around the corner.
The promo for Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 12 will showcase portions of the show that will appear on television next week.
It seems like Rick Devens has been on the outs of votes for the majority of the post-merge phase. Ever since being voted out, he’s had to work hard for his place in the game, trying to make moves and shift within alliances to find the right people to work with and progress his game. Unfortunately, all it does is have his allies voted out, with Wardog being the latest casualty.
Now it appears as though he’s undeniably the odd man out in Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 12, as the promo shows that everyone is trying their best to deceive him with whatever they have. In fact, we get a glimpse of the Advantage Menu that Ron found earlier in the season, only Ron didn’t tell Rick that it expired long ago when he gifted it to him.

The promo insists that Rick Devens has “no allies” as Ron deceives him, but also “no respect” as Lauren and Victoria look on to see Aurora digging through Rick’s bag as they read from a piece of paper. Rick’s upset and asks why they were looking through his bag, while Aurora retorts, “I’m just looking!” Thankfully, Rick sees his loved one at the Reward Challenge (for how long remains a mystery), helping Rick get the emotional boost he needs.
The fact that Ron is gifting Rick his expired Advantage Menu advantage and the women are looking through Rick’s bag for confirmation makes me believe that Ron could potentially be setting Rick up to look like a huge threat worthy of being voted off next. The only problem is that one of the protections of the menu is being immune at one of the next Tribal Councils.

There are a lot of theories to glean at this time, but nothing concrete. We’ll have to wait and see once Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 12 airs on television next week.
