Survivor Edge of Extinction loved ones press photos: Spreading the love
There’s hardly anything more emotional than the loved ones’ visit in Survivor, so we are sharing some of the post-episode 12 photos now.
For the past few months, we’ve been sharing pre-episode Survivor press photos and sprinkling in post-show press photos into our recaps in order to highlight the best moments from each week. However, with the loved ones visit bringing seven family members out to the island, it felt unfair to pick and choose who gets post-show highlights this week.
That’s why we’re making this a special Survivor: Edge of Extinction loved ones’ episode 12 press photo piece, sharing some of the special moments from last night’s incredible episode. Who would have guessed that all it took was for us not to visit the Edge of Extinction for us to have a great episode?
Rick Devens had initially feared that he was afraid his son, Jack, wouldn’t know where his dad was when playing this Survivor experience. However, his wife’s Becca’s comments cemented the notion that family will give him strength in this game, not fear.
Here’s an emotional moment with Julie Rosenberg and her husband, Mark, who reflected on the changes she’s gone through and how she’ll be a better person after Survivor because of this experience.
Jeff Probst asked Lauren O’Connell and her dad, Joey, how long they would hug each other if he didn’t stop them. “Forever,” Lauren responded, and I definitely believe her.
Ron Clark described his husband, Lloyd, as his protector, allowing him the confidence and space to go out on these adventures. Plus, he got to show off Lloyd to his new friends still playing this game.
Victoria Baamonde let down her guard when she saw her dad Roch, who saw her as a strong, confident woman. Victoria even remarked she couldn’t pretend she’s cold like steel anymore, as the few times she cried, she was thinking of this moment.
It’s clear that Aurora McCreary’s bond with her brother, Shane, is as strong as diamonds, as she reveals she looks up to him as a protector, brother, even father-like figure in trying to go above and beyond in his eyes (which he confirms she has).
It’s unfair to pick favorites in a Survivor loved ones’ visit, but you can’t help but smile in seeing Gavin Whitson reunited with his wife of roughly 32 days; 30 of which he was away playing Survivor. That’s a hardship, for sure.
