5. Gavin Whitson

Think about the pecking order for Survivor: Edge of Extinction going forward. Rick Devens is next unless he wins immunity or finds an idol. Julie is likely not a jury threat, so she will likely make it to the end. Lauren and Victoria came together at Final Seven to work on a huge blindside after weeks of playing passively. They even brought Aurora in first for the backup plan.

Who was the last to “know” who was in the know? Gavin Whitson. He was basically “essential” to the plan because he was immune and couldn’t be voted for, using an extra vote that wasn’t necessary in the end to vote out a target he didn’t particularly want to get out in the first place. It puts him on the bottom of an inside group he previously called a dictatorship.

If Rick Devens is safe this next round, it’s likely him or Aurora that will be targeted as a backup vote. He doesn’t have any close allies left after voting them out in the post-merge, plus he’s won a couple of immunities elevating this threat level to the jury.
