Up until tonight, we have seen 34 days of Survivor: Edge of Extinction gameplay culminated over 13 hours of television. However, hours 14 and 15 will cover five days, four challenges, three regular Tribal Councils and one Final Tribal Council, in which the jury of thirteen (!) will decide the Sole Survivor and the winner of a million-dollar check.
Let’s take a look at the Survivor: Edge of Extinction finale’s Final Five. Rick Devens is going to win this game unless he is voted out or loses in a Final Four fire-making challenge. There’s no beating him if he makes it to the end, and it’s up to him and his idol-searching and Immunity Necklace-winning ways to carry him to the end.
Lauren O’Connell also has a strong chance based in the edit lately, as she has started to plant the seeds of a winning resume by establishing bonds and dictating votes for key players. With Rick keeping himself safe, she has been working well with Gavin and Victoria in establishing a core group to get themselves to the end, and she might be able to win a jury vote.
There’s nobody who has voted as accurately or been in the know in as many votes as Victoria Baamonde. She will need to show the jury how well she played her under-the-radar game, but she has a strong case. So does Julie in an odd way, as she has been on the outs for a while but has found herself with an interesting fish out of water story while not burning bridges with the growing jury.
Gavin might be the player to watch for when it comes to winning out immunity and making a run towards the end. The same could be said for whoever makes it back from the Edge of Extinction, as they have to beat out ten others to make it to the Final Six, making them a champion of the jury and a player to watch out for when it comes to jury deliberations.
