Attack Zone Challenge

In the third episode of the season, the two tribes participated in a reward challenge called “Attack Zone.” The premise of the challenge was that cast members would cross a series of balance beams and steal something out of the other tribe’s boat. They’d then have to cross back over the balance beams and drop the item in their team’s boat.

If two people met in the marked “attack zone,” they’d square off. If someone fell in the water, they lost that item. The simple rule was that you had to be IN the attack zone in order to knock someone off the beam. If you weren’t and knocked someone into the water, you’d be disqualified, and one of your tribe’s items would go to the other tribe.

Seems simple, right?

Wrong.

Sook Jai couldn’t quite grasp the attack zone rules, with four of their six participating tribe members getting disqualified from the challenge. The most memorable DQ was when Robb decided to choke Clay and then toss him into the water like he was a rag doll.

The four DQ’s helped Chuay Gahn win the challenge, which was their first of the season.

Not following the rules and Robb choking (literally) Sook Jai’s chances away made this one of the season’s most memorable moments. It was also a subtle foreshadowing of Sook Jai’s existence in the season; Dominating and then shooting themselves in the foot as the season progressed.
