Survivor Island of the Idols episode 1 power rankings: Super Junior M

Based on the synopsis, preseason interviews and other video footage, here are our Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 1 power rankings ahead of Wednesday.

20. Vince Moua

Based on Survivor: Island of the Idols preseason interviews, a noticeable number of castaways saw Vince keeping very strictly to the Ponderosa rules and sticking to himself away from others. I’ve also since a lot of focus on keeping the tribe strong early instead of being too loyal. Vince might have to prove quickly to others why he’s not what they think he is, and step up quickly.

19. Janet Carbin

I don’t believe that Vokai will go to Tribal Council first based on the composition, but I don’t have the best vibe coming from Janet. She’s used to being in charge as the lead lifeguard over her town, and what I’ve seen of her before the game doesn’t tell me she can slide into a lesser role easy. The only time I picked an older woman to be among the first to go out and was wrong was Shane Gould, but this isn’t Australian Survivor.

18. Karishma Patel

In her early preseason footage, she’s shown getting into either an argument or a loud discussion while laying down in the shelter. A personal injury lawyer likely has the gift of gab when it comes to arguing, but doing so in the first few days is a red flag.

17. Dan Spilo

Though it was nice to see him at the Emmys, I think it will be more difficult for him to get along with a younger core group unless he is thrust into a leadership role early. Even then, the onus would likely be on him for the tribe to perform. Being a talent manager helps when managing egos but only when you’re paid to do so.
