6. Tommy Sheehan

For two episodes in a row, despite Tommy being a primary focus of the Vokai tribe action, Tommy looks to be a key person people come to for advice, input and agreeance for personal relationships, strategy and the direction of the tribe. The editors made it look like it came down to Tommy for whether or not the tribe was playing it safe or playing hard early with the Molly Byman vote.

The fact that he felt so confident in his position that he could blindside one of his closest allies early and still feel comfortable with the move shows how well he’s doing early.

5. Janet Carbin

Perhaps the best player of Survivor: Island of the Idols early, considering their status as a first boot candidate, has easily been Janet. Not only is she a valued member of the Vokai tribe when it comes to survival, but she was also integral to getting the Molly blindside rolling, being the lynchpin of the vote by securing the deciding vote of Tommy.

Most importantly, she’s strategizing and on top of a core alliance while nobody’s questioning if she is the next to go. That’s nothing short of amazing.

4. Lauren Beck

Lauren was responsible for the Molly blindside, accurately seeing that she was the queen of a tight trio that was dictating the early game of Vokai. However, by properly playing out the blindside before she got played herself, she placed a huge target on her back as the mastermind of a big move.

While nobody’s gunning for her just yet, she’s made a lot of unnecessary noise by wresting power away in a huge swing early. We’ll be seeing the ripples of her move throughout the rest of the game, I believe.
