Survivor Island of the Idols episode 3 preview: No girls allowed

Many tribes have seen five men and four women left, but the Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 3 preview shows a grave concern for an all women’s alliance.

This piece will showcase short footage from Survivor: Island of the Idol episode 3 that will appear on television as is on Wednesday.

There’s nothing that galvanized men to take action in Survivor more than the threat, mention, or even intention of creating an all women’s alliance. The funniest example of this kneejerk reaction was when JP was lied to by Chrissy, who said Roark was creating such an alliance. His immediate reaction, right after she finished her breath, was, “Oh, really? Oh, she’s gotta go!”

Though we know a girls’ alliance has effectively formed within the first few days of Survivor: Island of the Idols, rarely does calling it out end up being accurate. That just so happens to be the case with the episode 3 preview video, as Aaron is trying to rally the men in trying to … I dunno, somehow make four greater than five? It seems like he wants to drag Dean, Tom and Vince down with his ship, for some reason.

We saw a bit of this moment in the “Next Time On Survivor” preview at the end of last week’s episode, so we knew that Vince was less susceptible to agreeing to be part of this group. However, knowing that Karishma cut herself in another promo, the potential to flip the girls’ alliance on its head becomes immediately viable. That is unless the men didn’t rush to her aid and she’s still more angry with them at the time.

Regardless, the mood at Lairo is one of anticipation, as we’ve been fed a reliable storyline of the women dominating the tribe even with just a one-person advantage. Let’s see if that comes through when Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 3, “Honesty Would Be Chill,” airs on Wednesday, October 9 at 8 p.m. ET.
