Survivor Island of the Idols episode 6 promo: Sharing is caring

Two members of Lairo 2.0 share an emotional moment, which becomes the teaser encompassing the Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 6 promo.

The promo for Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 6 will tease moments from the show that will air next week.

Man, there’s a lot that CBS can pack into the span of a 20-second commercial. Taking into the splash screen of the season’s logo and the episode airdate information taking 2.5 seconds at the end, the 17.5 seconds that do make it to airwaves can include merge spoilers sometimes, if not who’s going to the Island of the Idols.

This time, however, the fact that there will be a test at all might be the biggest “spoiler” of the Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 6 promo, and that’s not a spoiler at all! It does mean, however, in conjunction with the press photos, there will be a Reward Challenge (illustrated by the sliding platform) and an Immunity Challenge on top of a lengthy visit off the island.

It seems like there’s way too much content going on that’s strictly gameplay or challenge related, as a season twist and two challenges is a huge chunk of 42 minutes. However, the promo does also hint at a “powerful, life-changing moment” between Jack Nichting and Jamal Shipman, one that Jack finds as “a very human moment” that bonds their friendship while Jack remarks, “I’ll remember that for the rest of (his) life.”

Obviously, we’re not going to speculate on what can bond them together, especially since Survivor: Island of the Idols has dealt with sensitive personal topics without using them as promotional content. Instead, I think we should remark that it looks like Dan and Aaron chopping into something that has Jason and Tommy reacting in horror has to be another misdirect, as Elizabeth’s shocked reaction was promo bait during this week’s “fight” between Elaine and Missy.
