12. Dan Spilo
Now that Dan has made the merge and has fulfilled a tribe swap promo that showed him with a blue buff, we can now rely solely on what we’ve seen in the edit. Dan’s edit so far has been atrocious, with his aggressive physical contact a point of camaraderie-building jokes for the Vokai women and referenced in an episode that talked about sexism and the #MeToo movement.
There’s no questioning how dire Dan’s edit has been so far, as he’s either being commented on for his unwanted contact or thrown under the bus for having the personality of a used car salesman. When Jamal was trying to throw his target onto Dan after being played with the Molly blindside, Janet bit onto the bait, showing just how little that well-respected, well-respected castaway wanted to get rid of Dan.
If it comes to getting rid of Vokai to curry favor across tribal lines (remember, two people will be voted out this week), Dan is the name that seems to be on everybody’s tongues as a possible elimination target. We have no idea who his closest allies are, who he wants to play without (outside of nighttime escapades, allegedly), nor who has his back. That lack of information is telling.
