The Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 10 secret scenes show Boston Rob going out to explore, Noura’s overconfidence post-immunity and more.
It’s been hard to feel as enthused and engaged about Survivor: Island of the Idols, especially when production seems to want to bury their heads in the sand, pretend nothing happened with Dan, and even reverse track from Jeff Probst’s declaration of “I will never let it go.” In fact, barring some declined exit interviews, the official accounts have tried to keep as quiet as possible, hoping nobody will continue to take them to task for dropping the ball so hard.
The one thing I do look forward to each week is the secret scenes, as they are the supplementary pieces of content that make you smile during the dark times. My favorite from Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 10 comes right after Noura wins her first immunity necklace of the season and immediately goes into Golden God mode.
It’s Day 27 and Noura has never made fire once in close to a month, yet wants to break tradition now that she can’t be voted out. However, much like in the earliest days of Vokai, she thinks she knows better than what works, using up too little of the magnesium on the flint and fumbling making a fire, leaving everyone hungry before deciding to vote out Aaron regardless.
We didn’t visit the Island of the Idols this week, but that doesn’t mean Boston Rob and Sandra are just sitting up in a hotel room until the next visitor arrives. As seen in another secret scene video, Boston Rob has become Explorer Rob, traversing what Angelina would describe as a 100-foot rock wall to discover more of the island. He didn’t discover anything new, but swimming over in low tide helps pass another day in isolation.
We didn’t have many Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 10 secret scenes, as we cap things off with Missy Byrd and Aaron Meredith breaking down their experiences. You can tell how much this game means to Missy judging by her answers, as she considers the show an escape and wants to envelope herself in the greater family of other castaways while her own family has no idea she’s actually out there on the island.
