Survivor Island of the Idols episode 11 power rankings: Unmighty No. 9
1. Tommy Sheehan
Almost from the beginning, it’s felt like Survivor: Island of the Idols is Tommy’s game to lose. He almost did lose it this past week by receiving both Elizabeth and Missy’s votes, but with half of the people who want him out of the game voted out themselves and the other isolated, Tommy’s in a good position to go further in the game.
Original Vokai has the numbers, especially with Karishma betraying Lairo’s leaders and having to go with the people she’s worked with to continue playing. He’s in the ear of almost everybody in the game when it comes to strategy talk, nobody dislikes him (even if they voted for him), and there are still people to target ahead of him.
Most importantly, and I hated to go into edgic with a season that has had as heavy themes as Island of the Idols has shown, but I don’t know who else can really win. Players like Karishma have been given complex character growth arcs, while Noura has been a comedic, strategic force. Lauren has been very underedited compared to who’s left, and Elaine seems to be the likable, rootable character that will be taken out short of the end of the game.
Tommy has been giving milquetoast winner’s quotes and given the winner’s content while playing a winner’s strategy in a sea of goats and underedited players remaining. It seems more than clear that he wins unless something goes tragically wrong.
