They’ve all been playing the game for a month of what has aired on television, and even players like Dean have stepped up noticeably in terms of on-screen presence. God, I would have lost money betting that Dan would be hidden after the merge episode.

We’ve known since the premiere that Elaine is a social threat, yet the secret scene where she puts on others’ clothing has players like Elizabeth saying she needs to be kept around for morale purposes. We’re a month into the game with just eight days before the Final Three are set, and players like Elizabeth want to keep somebody that betrayed her. Makes sense she’s the next juror.

Dean Kowalski has incorporated the “DKChillin” lifestyle since he arrived in Survivor: Island of the Idols. One of the secret scenes shows him explaining how it keeps him within the moment and controlling what he can do in life while not sweating things he can’t control. Despite playing an under-the-radar game (a respectable one), it’s amazing to hear himself proclaim to be one of the big threats; it contrasts what he’s been telling the audience!
Finally, treemail is kind of a no-brainer, as it sets up what Lauren explained after her Island of the Idols visit. It’s good to see treemail still exists, but it would have spoiled that Karishma would compete in the Immunity Challenge. It’s not like it matters for Lauren, as Karishma dropped within seconds of the challenge helping Lauren’s idol bet pay off.
