6. Janet Carbin

It’s weird to see how Janet Carbin went from a motherly figure who stepped up for the young women of the merge tribe despite her standing in the game to … a person who is back in the fold among those who are lesser in the totem pole. She’s not a player that the majority says “we absolutely need to get them out right now,” but seeing her tied with Elizabeth heading into a re-vote shows just how close she could have been to being voted out.

The fact that her name is even a decoy name to players like Karishma means Janet is in a bad position, but if there’s anybody who’s poised to take a substantive leap in the Survivor: Island of the Idols power rankings, it’s Janet. She has maintained quite a few relationships and is capable of working with the women to get out one of the remaining men in the game like Dean or Dan.

For Janet to progress, however, she has to be party to somebody else’s big move and not make a big strive, as I fear doing so will be cause for her to be targeted next. However, she could be targeted anyways, which makes the proposition of sitting still that much more difficult.
