Survivor Island of the Idols episode 12 power rankings: Fighting for family

We’re getting close to the end of Survivor: Island of the Idols and Elaine was targeted as a Day 39 threat on Day 3 of the game. We’re now passed Day 30, and will likely end this week’s episode just an in-game week shy of the million-dollar jury deliberations and Final Tribal Council. Elaine’s likeability has been a welcoming factor for weeks, but her endgame positioning has her in an okay position … for now.

See, Tommy and Lauren might need Elaine if they are to progress to the end individually. With there being five original Vokai members to Lairo’s three, the time would be now for the Karishmas, Deans, and Janets to grab players like Dan and Noura to overthrow the players on top. However, Elaine’s a social link that ties many of those players together, mitigating anything that would resemble a counter-insurgency within the game.

Additionally, she does have shields ahead of her, especially with Karishma idolling out Elizabeth last week and Noura starting to develop a competitive immunity winning streak. She seems likely headed for an edit where she just falls short, but she’s easily one of the more rootable players left in the game.
