Survivor Island of the Idols episode 12 power rankings: Fighting for family
1. Tommy Sheehan
As has been the case for weeks now (if not since episode 3), Tommy Sheehan seems almost destined to win Survivor: Island of the Idols. He hasn’t been the most entertaining character of the season, but it’s hard for a winner to outshine the likes of the goofy Elaine, the manic mastermind of Noura, the mama bear figure of Janet, as well as the off-and-on redemption arc of Karishma.
However, you cannot overstate just how much of a command of the game Tommy has. With the exception of almost being voted out once by the two people who wanted him out (both of which have been voted out in succession), everybody has been coming to him for strategy, as he has demonstrated time and time again that whoever he wants to go (barring an advantage played), they go home.
Most important, he’s had the most consistent edit despite hardly going to Tribal Council before the merge. The brief moment he looked vulnerable post-Elaine’s Block a Vote advantage play has only driven him to become stronger, yet he’s played from the middle between both Vokai and Lairo lines.
With the more compelling players voted out early, it’s way better to slowly, methodically take out the competition and make it look textbook if you want the title and the prize.
