Survivor Island of the Idols episode 13 press photos: Down to the wire
Almost 24 hours before the episode airs, the Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 13 press photos hint at the penultimate test and the possible vote targets.
The Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 13 press photos showcase screengrabs from the upcoming show as it will air on television.
I’ve been fortunate to cover Survivor for this site since the beginning of Game Changers, which was perhaps the best way to get your feet wet in the ups and downs of covering a season. It featured sensitive moments, explosive gameplay, brand-new firsts within the show, and revelations about the rules such as what happens in the event of a tie at Final Tribal Council.
Ever since then, though, I cannot recall a time when it seemed like we wouldn’t get press photos or any promotional material for the show before an episode. Alas, close to 28 hours before the second-to-last show of the season (and the decade) is set to air, CBS has finally uploaded the Survivor: Island of the Idols episode 13 press photos, offering up hints at the Final Seven’s activities.
With Elaine plotting to blindside Tommy and Lauren in last week’s episode (as well as finding and playing a Hidden Immunity Idol), it’s clear she will be one of the targets this week.
In retrospect, Dean having to put his life in the game in Noura’s hands makes it more understandable why he didn’t blindside Tommy. However, he’s now one of two original Lairo players left in the game, which does make him a potential jury threat (in his eyes).
We’ve seen parts of this conversation on the “Next Time On Survivor” preview, but it seems like Tommy is assuaging Lauren’s concerns while simultaneously plotting her demise.
With just seven players left in the game, I genuinely wonder if many who wanted to go to the Island of the Idols for an advantage opportunity previously (but didn’t for strategic reasons) will regret it now that this pick is by a random draw. Either way, more mentor adventures await!
Just like two weeks ago, it seems we’ll get more of Boston Rob and Sandra living on the island before we see their next test.
This Immunity Challenge took place on the same track as the Edge of Extinction challenges last season, so it makes sense that it combines multiple different portions. The first combines energy to unspool and dexterity needed to balance yourself out.
It seems like a helluva long way to unspool, especially with a net to get under along the way.
It leads to a balance portion, and, as you see by the competitors, it all comes down to the puzzle at the end, and it doesn’t matter how quickly you run the first parts.
