Covering grounds similarly covered in the Survivor at 40 recaps, the Survivor: Winners at War episode 1 sneak peek videos tease the beginning.

There’s never enough promotional material to provide for a season like Survivor: Winners at War. As someone who saw press photos for Island of the Idols’ finale release only as the reunion filmed live-to-tape four hours before the show would air on television, you can tell the difference when there’s supreme confidence in a product from the management side of things.

Earlier this week, we got a nearly five-minute opening of Survivor: Winners at War episode 1, including what will likely be (or is actually considered) the airing of the season’s opening. Who knows if we’ll double down on that again this week or we’ll open up right where Survivor at 40 left off, but CBS is ready to tease some of those moments once more; this time, it’s for YouTube.

The Winners at War episode 1 sneak peek videos are out of chronological order, but we have re-arranged them in what we assume to be the order they will air on television next week. The first video shows the men and women climbing out of their boats to arrive on the starting mat, with the women taking more falls into the ocean than they would have liked. Even Tyson had a Tyson-esque comment to make to the women.

After arriving on the beach, Jeff Probst wants nothing more than to celebrate the moment before the winners go to war (or something). That’s when he brings out the champagne for the second promo video, popping a cork into the Fijian ocean as 20 grown men and women clap on in amazement. As we’ve seen in other material, some of the castaways even look for clues or secrets in their glass, showing the game is on already.

The final promo video is the surprise most of the Winners at War castaways have prepared to go along with: a two-million-dollar prize for the Ultimate Sole Survivor of the season. That’s where you see some of the more genuine excitement coming from the players, as they now know that the stakes have been raised, and maybe it’s time to ditch some of those pre-game alliances when the going gets tough at the end of the journey.
