1) Sophie Clarke

Similar to Danni Boatwright, Sophie isn’t the most recognizable winner. She won South Pacific nearly ten years ago and her game was overshadowed by bigger personalities including Coach, Ozzy and Brandon Hantz. It didn’t take long for Sophie to find her place in the dominant “Family” alliance led by Coach.

Although the Dragon Slayer often gets the credit for putting together this alliance that got him to the end, Sophie played a key role in their success. She was able to keep this group of emotionally driven and unpredictable characters strategically sound. Her understanding of the game got her to the end.

When it came down to the wire, Sophie came up massively clutch by beating out Ozzy in the final Immunity Challenge. If she didn’t win that challenge, Ozzy would be in this season instead. That performance along with a strong showing in front of the jury enabled her to receive more votes than a three-time Survivor veteran.

Sophie is entering Winners at War tremendously under the radar. Her regular involvement in the Survivor fandom and on RHAP further shows that her head is in the game and she knows how this show has evolved since South Pacific. She has the awareness to jump to the alliance or voting bloc that best suits her success. If Sophie can remain in the shadows and make her move towards the end of season, she could very well be a surprise pick to win it all.
