Survivor Winners at War episode 3 promos tease blindsides, baby shark

Another scavenger hunt, a young winner out for blood, and a reference to a video seen 4.6 billion times highlight Survivor: Winners at War episode 3 promos.

Despite an 8-1 vote by the Sele tribe in this week’s episode, Survivor: Winners at War has done a good job of making a mountain out of a proverbial molehill’s worth of content. It’s almost enough to forgive the fact that we will have almost mandatory Edge of Extinction visits every week where someone will be hunting for a power to sell to somebody still in the game.

Those trinkets and baubles will eventually serve as arms needed to take down the generals preparing for war, as the Survivor: Winners at War episode 3 promos hint that we may finally start to see a swing at power take out a big target. The commercial itself ramps up the tension like it’s straight out of the soundtrack to Drive, with Adam, Jeremy, and Boston Rob dancing around taking the first big shot and Amber running off on her own at the Edge of Extinction.

It’s clear that Adam and Jeremy are pointing their proverbial guns and knives at Boston Rob, with him pontificating about who’s going to step up to take him on in a very godfather-like manner. It could also be proven promo-cutting warriors teasing up a big episode like they’re WWE wrestlers gunning for a championship belt, as you need that kind of banter if you want to further propel the entertainment value.

It’s a dangerous combination to pair that thinking with the first of the two extended Survivor: Winners at War episode 3 promos, as Adam posits that he needs to take a shot at one of “the big dogs in this game.” He name-dropped Parvati, Ethan, and Boston Rob as those in control, and with Adam sharing a casino story about being in for $200 and Boston Rob commenting that his “probability of winning is very low,” it’s hard not to take this sneak peek paired with Amber potentially finding another power at Edge of Extinction as a very dark foreshadowing for Adam.

I sincerely hope I’m wrong, as it’s quite ridiculous how high everyone asks to jump when Boston Rob tells them to do it. Let at least one keystone domino fall to create the cascading chaos this season deserves!

Dakal seems to have their stuff together, as the second of the two extended Survivor: Winners at War episode 3 promos sees Tony Vlachos engaging with his fellow Dakal tribemates in securing a baby shark (doo doo do do do do) that Sandra caught. He goes full-on kid mode after grabbing the shark out from the net, pretending like it was going to bite his whole arm off as he moves Sandra’s catch to a new container.

It seems like the first real shot at a legendary winner might come this week … or it’s possible that a power from the Edge of Extinction could help the right person at the right time. We’ll have to wait and see if either comes true!
