Survivor Winners at War episode 6 power rankings: Toil and trouble
2. Kim Spradlin
What fascinates me about Kim Spradlin is how well she can turn around her game, given her new tribe. She might dive all the way back down the power rankings in the next week or so, but with a Hidden Immunity Idol and effectively given a chance to be the swing vote, she is now in the driver’s seat of the fate of her tribe should she go to Tribal Council before the merge.
Seeing her in an underdog role is such an odd thing to behold, but her ability to stay determined, stay social, and play the hand she’s been dealt without tipping her hand to either side and becoming the target for being a swing vote is a tremendous skill.
With Dakal numbers potentially dwindling heading into the merge (or a narrow margin ahead), there’s a chance for Kim to reduce her threat level without even having to use an idol. I don’t see her tremendously blindsided with one in her pocket, either.
1. Sophie Clarke
While Sophie’s original Survivor win came at the hand of staying in a tight-knit Family alliance from Day 1 all the way through Day 39, her Winners at War game has been both subtle and enthralling. She’s a great orator of the tribe dynamics as a confessional narrator, no matter her tribe, and it reflects her understanding of the game and her impact on the events that transpire.
Even with Boston Rob effectively trying to strong-arm both Sophie and Sarah this past episode, her social play in the few opportunities she’s had to explore them exemplifies her command of the game. She just found a Hidden Immunity Idol and used it to deepen her bond with Sarah, which may become vitally important down the line.
We’re not rating the Survivor: Winners at War episode 6 power rankings based on who has improved the most since their win(s), but Sophie Clarke would be the clear-cut favorite in that regard, hand’s down.
