Tyson Apostol

If there’s anyone I feel the edit most supports returning from the Edge of Extinction right now, it’s Tyson Apostol. He’s taken an unconventional approach in using his fire tokens, playing up to his chicanery by buying a peanut butter jar with one of them. Not only does it allow him to be doing something sneaky (rejuvenation of the spirit), he’s also benefitting greatly from a huge jar of calories in a portion of the game where resources are destitute.

Odds he wins the Edge of Extinction Challenge: 25%. Tyson is aptly built for this kind of challenge, as the former professional cyclist and NCAA swimmer has the frame to quickly go over the rope frames, has the arms and body long enough to grasp at keys danging from beyond a gate, and has a good understanding of his body capable of balancing on the beam while pulling his balls through the snake maze puzzle.

Odds he thrives if she returns: 70%. He gave Nick Wilson his fire token, which surreptitiously gave him an in with the Nick, Michele, Wendell dynamic. He’s also still good with the Dakal contingency of Tony, Kim, Sarah, and Sophie, as he warned them that players like Yul and Sandra would vote out the threats first.

He’s also already demonstrated the ability to let bygones be bygones at the very first vote of Dakal, too. Tyson is the best bet for an “old-school” player to return and go far, although there is the possibility that he accumulates a threat level amongst the new-schoolers eventually.
