Survivor Winners at War episode 9 power rankings: Challenging times
7. Ben Driebergen
The sibling rivalry between Ben Driebergen and Adam Klein continues to be a reliable source of comedic entertainment in Survivor: Winners at War, with the two squabbling like children even when working as a team. It serves to round out Ben’s character outside of someone striving for the legitimacy of his original winning game, and the merge has brought that to him.
Tony made a brilliant move in bringing Ben into his “big threats alliance” group, as it placated Ben’s woes about what others think about his play. It looked to put him in the position to further legitimize his own hold on the game, but in reality, it was Sophie who decided which player was the next to go. Thankfully, he had worked that relationship during the Yara days, further entrenching his role.
The act of distancing himself from Nick, a player he was willing to sacrifice, might be his downfall, but it’s clear that Ben has options. None are targeting him right now, but his influence overall is reduced compared to some of the upper echelon winners in this game. His social play quite isn’t where it needs to be, especially with $2 million on the line.
