9. Michele Fitzgerald

Though it appears as though Michele has a lot of protection when it comes to the edit (and it certainly doesn’t feel as though many are actively throwing out her name), Michele’s prominence and control of the game has rapidly dwindled since the tribe swap. The merge onward has been her worst phase so far, as she lost her closest ally and the third swapped Sele player in a row.

It’s odd, however, that we’re not made to feel as though Michele is in a heap of trouble, even though that might very well be the case. She’s at least back on the original Sele tribe members’ page by voting out Adam but was she really gaining old ground with Jeremy, Denise, and Ben compared to their new relationships established at the merge (and prior)?

Michele is one of the more narrative-prominent characters in Survivor: Winners at War, and I don’t think her story comes to an end quite soon. However, we cannot ignore that she is one of those “hyenas” on the outs being targeted, and the lions haven’t broken their guard yet. She’ll need to hope that a crack forms so that she and Nick can work the middle of two warring sides.
