7. Ben Driebergen

Ben has been one of my favorite characters of Survivor: Winners at War. His back-and-forth bantering and bickering with Adam Klein, his supposed ally, was a colorful highlight, and his wishes to branch out and form bonds with honest, good-natured players like Sarah and Sophie served to form his transformation in an enjoyable way.

Now that he has finally shed his nagging nephew of an enemymance, I’m really interested to see where Ben’s story goes from here. He seems to have a standing with the “big threats alliance” with the “lions” of the game, but who knows how much influence he actually has. His strengths in weeding out those who spread his name mirror players like Boston Rob, which might be a good thing if Ben was in a position to be a Robfather to a season of newbies.

But that is not the case for Ben. While others were strategizing and whispering, Ben and Adam had a major falling out with an open argument at Tribal Council, which is something that makes for quite the dramatics. You never want to be the kind of player getting the spotlight on the one place in the game that feels like (and is) a stage set for television.
