It’s an odd flow to the Survivor: Winners at War endgame. There are technically fewer days in real life leading to the season finale than there are in the show, as technically, the most recent episode of the show brought us up until Night 29. With more of that night coming this week (as evidenced in the preview videos), we have 10 nights of the game to cover across four more hours of television!
That also means we saw some of the most dynamic, exciting, high-stakes television with these champions of champions in back-to-back nights, with Tony Vlachos pulling off some great moves while also leveraging his numerous relationships. He’s burnt bridges and mended fences, playing up to his chaotic roots from his original win in Cagayan.
With just seven left in the game, there are many interesting dynamics in play. The ongoing story is of the lions and the hyenas, and it looks like there are just enough players considered “big threats” in the game to keep the “lesser threats” at bay. However, one has to wonder at what point does a player like Ben find himself in the middle of two groups and make a big move for himself as the swing vote?

Right now, the tightest duos are Tony and Sarah, as well as Nick and Michele. What’s odd about the latter duo is how often they’re seemingly on the opposite ends of votes despite being designated as a duo, though it looks like they’re going to try and bring the chaos themselves this week. With Denise in tow, they might be able to swing someone else to their side, especially with a 50/50 coin to potentially save someone.
