Ranking the performances of all twenty contestants from Survivor: Winners at War based on their gameplay, threat management and their ability to adapt.
Over the course of three months, we have watched twenty Survivor champions go to war in an all-winners season. It was especially fun to watch castaways return who probably wouldn’t have come back for any other reason. This season gave the opportunity for contestants to cement their legacy in the Survivor history books and prove why they were deserving winners.
Winners at War might have had the highest quality of gameplay we’ve ever seen, which makes it fun to compare everyone’s performances. Our list is focused more on gameplay rather than simply where the cast ended up. We also take into consideration each player’s threat level coming into the season, understanding that some of the winners needed to do a lot more to keep their name off of the chopping block. Here are our full rankings of all twenty Winners at War contestants.
20. Danni Boatwright
Coming from a season that produced zero returning players, Danni Boatwright was perhaps the most underrated winner out of the entire cast. Having a low profile like that one is exactly what you want in a season full of massive threats. Unfortunately for Danni, she couldn’t stay under the radar as her attempt to adapt to this new era of Survivor wasn’t successful.
It didn’t take long for her to begin throwing names out, starting with Boston Rob. After Rob was able to reconcile with Danni and change her mind, she made another mistake by revealing to the more recent winners that they made an old school alliance. This fatal error forced the old schoolers to work with the other tribe members to take Danni out. This doesn’t change the fact that she played an underrated winning season in Guatemala, but it does tell us that she was trying too hard to adapt her gameplay.
Highs:
– Surviving nearly 30 days on the Edge of Extinction
Lows:
– Spilling the beans on her own secret alliance
– Getting caught throwing Boston Rob’s name out
– Becoming impatient with her social interactions
