25. San Juan del Sur — Blood Vs. Water (Season 29)

Natalie Anderson went on to be the eventual winner of Survivor: San Juan Del Sur, and she’s certainly both a great player and a memorable character in the lore of the show. Particularly in the middle-end of the season, Natalie’s gameplay was extremely fun to watch as she simply made nothing but moves to put herself in a position of power that no one else could compete with. But like we’ve said before, a great winner doesn’t necessarily constitute a great season.

Between known-racist (and I guess former baseball player) John Rocker having a role early in the season and the fact that there weren’t a plethora of great characters that stood out in the show, San Juan Del Sur is ultimately the definition of bland. Because of Natalie, nerds about the show have an appreciation for the season in some regard (myself included in that category).

But really, there’s not much that you can recall from the show because, well, nothing that notable ever seemed to really happen. It was ho-hum basically from start to finish and that’s not a favorable description for a show that has the potential to be the most exciting and dramatic thing on television.
