17. The Amazon (Season 6)

Because of the strategic element of Survivor, there are numerous examples of the best player in a season not becoming the Sole Survivor. Reason being, other players can take Final Immunity and vote them out prior to Final Tribal Council. That’s what most people would largely agree is the case with Survivor: The Amazon as Rob Cesternino was voted out as the final member of the jury.

That’s not to say that Jenna Morasco was a forgettable player. With the tribal divisions of the season being drawn by gender, she was phenomenal in playing as part of a strong alliance, for which she called the shots. However, Rob C. is one of the best strategic players of all time (set All-Stars to the side), as evidence considering he breaks the show down intensely on his podcast and website.

Overall, The Amazon was a fine season with nothing particularly spectacular about it outside of Rob C. Perhaps the most memorable moment is Jenna and Heidi going topless so to get peanut butter and cookies. Personally, I’d rather the biggest moment be something more about the gameplay and not something like that. Still, the season still has its merits.
