5. Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites (Season 16)

If there’s one certainty about Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites, it’s that it’s jam-packed with some of the show’s more memorable moments. Seemingly every other episode, specifically after the tribe swap, there’s something that fans of the show look back on fondly.

The most famous is most likely Fan Erik Reichenbach getting played by the Black Widow, all women’s alliance at Tribal Council for the Final 5. An obviously kind guy with a good heart, he never expected that giving up his Immunity Necklace would result in him getting voted out—even if everyone watching at home saw it coming.

Additionally, Micronesia also treated fans of the show to the wonderful fake idol moment between Jason Siska and Eliza Orlins. Calling it a fake idol rather than just a stick with some markings on it is probably giving poor Jason way too much credit.

However, the first installment of Fans vs. Favorites will always be best remembered for the aforementioned Black Widow alliance. Parvati Shallow led the way and was rewarded with $1 million for doing so. It was one of the most destructive forces in terms of a group that we’ve ever seen in Survivor and something all fans won’t soon forget.
