Survivor favorites who may never play again: Number 4 – Tyson Apostol

Tyson Apostol is an intriguing player. Despite playing four times and winning once, he never finished higher than eighth in his non-winning seasons. There were no multiple final fours or close finishes for Tyson.

Tyson was an entertaining, outspoken player who may have over-strategized at times. It probably cost him in some of his seasons.

Still, of everyone on this list, he seemed the most engaged with the current style of play and seemed the ablest to adjust. In Winners at War, he was on the wrong side of the numbers – twice.

While he looks capable of adjusting to the modern game, his confessionals gave the impression that while he loved playing the game, he almost would rather be home with his family. He didn’t seem to have the same drive he flaunted in early seasons.

Tyson could still be a physical threat as well as a force socially if given a chance to play again. It just seems as if the desire to participate in another grueling season may not be there.
