Survivor favorites who may never play again: Number 3 – Sandra Diaz-Twine

Oh, Sandra! Now one of a pair of two-time winners, Sandra, still has clout. Her early style of play was incredibly successful as she was able to float along, not being much of a threat – until she was.

Things were different the last two times she played. She fully embraced her role as the “Queen,” often strutting around camps trumpeting her greatness. The modern players weren’t about to let her hang around for long.

Her game played well in Winners at War. Her under-the-radar strategies worked for a while – until they didn’t. She completely underestimated Denise and was thoroughly outplayed by the season  25 winner when Denise used Sandra’s own idol to boot the Queen out of the game.

It’s not that Sandra isn’t still capable of being a threat in the game, but her abandoning the opportunity to be on the jury on Winners at War was kind of a kick in the ribs to the game.

Yes, she had little to no chance of earning her way back into the game, and yes, conditions on the Edge of Extinction were far from ideal. Still, in a season featuring nothing but champions of the game, eschewing the opportunity to name another two-time winner was almost unforgivable.

Her legacy in the game is undeniable. She is the Queen, but it will be surprising to see her on the show again.
