Best Survivor Winners No. 14: John Cochran (Survivor Caramoan)
After playing in Survivor South Pacific, superfan John Cochran learned the only lesson he should have known already; no matter how poorly your entire tribe treats you pre-merge, you still need to bend to their wills and treat them with the respect they didn’t show you at all.
With that knowledge holstered and Redemption Island a distant memory, he entered the second fans vs. favorites season with a masterful game plan.
He sat behind stronger threats, had a secret alliance going throughout the season, went against strategic players when necessary, and brought two goats with him to the final tribal council.
Not only did Cochran improve on his strategy and social aspects, but he also won two individual immunity challenges. His ability to make it through a season with experienced players who know his abilities without receiving a vote against him and receive all the final tribal council votes makes him a great Survivor winner.
He did get put into a position where he could win fairly easier with clueless fans that floundered from minute one.
