Best Survivor Winners No. 6: Tom Westman (Survivor Palau)

The only reason why Tom Westman wasn’t the first perfect winner in Survivor history (no votes at tribal council until all jury votes at the final tribal council) was that Coby gave an anti-Tom vote to Katie.

Tom was a natural-born leader and the perfect player for this game, owning a great social game, strategic game, survival game (he killed a shark for sustenance), and challenge game.

He served as the main provider for the Koror tribe, with his abilities helping maintain order as the tribe went on to systematically destroy the Ulong tribe in what will be remembered as the biggest destructions of an opposing tribe heading into the merge.

Despite being on a tribe consisting of mostly older contestants, Tom’s youthful outlook and presence despite his age permeated through his teammates.

Never forget that this man was able to convince someone a stone throw away from a trip to the final tribal council by saying him stepping down would redeem their friendship.

That, alongside four-straight individual immunity wins (five total), allowed Tom to give no f—s at the final tribal council, earning the million while owning his slightly discourteous play.
