Survivor: Heroes vs Villains was a culmination of ten years and 20 seasons of Survivor. What were the most memorable moments from season 20, which aired in the spring of 2010?

When fans saw the cast list for Survivor: Heroes vs Villains, the show’s 20th season, the excitement level was through the roof!

Production managed to get classic players like Colby Donaldson, Jerri Manthey, Rob Mariano, Rupert Boneham, Tom Westman, and Stephenie LaGrossa while also recruiting newer (at that time, of course) players like Parvati Shallow, Russell Hantz, J.T. Thomas, and Coach Wade.

It was a Survivor fan’s dream come true and the season most definitely lived up the hype, as it’s still highly regarded as the show’s best season ever.

Let’s take a look at some of the most memorable moments from Heroes vs Villains.

The Intro

In the 20 years that Survivor has been on the air, there hasn’t been a cooler opening segment than that of Heroes vs Villains. It opens up with four helicopters bringing in the 20 contestants with a few of the contestants revealing why they feel they belong on their respective tribe.

From there, Jeff Probst opens up the season by welcoming everyone and discussing just how big this season is. The two tribes immediately went into their first challenge, which was as physical of a challenge as there could be. It resulted in injuries occurring to both Rupert and Stephenie and also gave us the classic “Colby getting owned by Coach” moment.

Survivor could be on the air for another 20 years and we still probably won’t get an intro like this one. What a thing of beauty.
