22. Earl Cole (Fiji)

Earl Cole had never seen an episode of Survivor before he was chosen as an alternate for Fiji and ended up being on season 14. He had it rough early on, landing on the Ravu tribe, who were the “Have Nots”, and going to a lot of tribal councils early on.

After the switch, he landed on the Moto tribe and from there, took control of the game. His decision to align with Yau Man was what helped him big time and Earl was able to play an incredibly dominant game and had one of the best winning games in Survivor history.

Hopefully we get to see him play again someday.

21. Colby Donaldson (Australian Outback, All-Stars, Heroes vs Villains)

The only other non-winner to appear in this group of ten is Colby Donaldson, who was one of the show’s first true icons. He was beloved in the Australian Outback and his biggest mistake was taking Tina Wesson to the end with him, who beat him 4-3 in the final vote.

Colby – like his season counterpart Jerri – saw his story come full circle, but it was a much sadder ending for him. He was a challenge beast in season two, got taken out fairly early in All-Stars, and was a shell of himself in Heroes vs Villains, which is why he was the last Hero standing that season.

Even with his story ending on more of a sour note, Colby is one of Survivor‘s greatest icons and is still someone people reference to this day.

We had eight winners in this batch of greatest Survivor players and it’s getting to the point where people are saying “They should be ranked much higher!”, which I’m certainly guilty of with several of these players.

Remember though – These rankings aren’t solely based on game play. Otherwise, Todd Herzog would obviously be in the top ten (he’s the second winner of all-time in my opinion).

What do you think of these ten players and would you have them higher, lower, or right where they are? Let us know in the comment section below!
