Best Blindside from Survivor: Africa – N/A

Out of all of the seasons of Survivor, season three might be the only one that didn’t really have a true blindside. Old school seasons weren’t as known for their blindsides and Africa is proof of that. Most people voted off knew that it was their time because the game was played much differently then.

I considered putting Kelly here, but she had an inkling that Lex and the other Boran members were turning on her, which they did. So, Africa is the only season that didn’t really have a true blindside.

Best Blindside from Survivor: Marquesas – John

Survivor: Marquesas was the first time the tribes did not go into the merge with even numbers. That made it seem pretty obvious that the Rotu 4 along with Kathy, Neleh, and Paschal would pick off the original Maraamu members and then the Rotu 4 would do their thing to make it to the final four.

Instead, the Rotu 4 foolishly showed what their pecking order was going to be in a challenge and that turned the tides for Kathy, Neleh, and Paschal, who joined forces with Sean and Vecepia to form the majority and vote off John. It changed the entire post-merge for that season, as instead of the Rotu 4 making the final four, they were the next four picked off.

John’s blindside might be the first time we ever had a stand up and applaud moment in Survivor. It’s a classic boot.
