Best Blindside from Survivor: Cook Islands – Nate

Nate’s boot paved the way for Yul to win Survivor: Cook Islands and it happened because Yul was able to convince Penner to vote with the Aitu 4. Yul did so by showing Penner the idol and essentially threatening him with it.

Either way, Penner was in a tough spot, and he ultimately chose to go with the Aitu 4. They voted Nate off, who clearly didn’t see it coming, and took control of the game.

Best Blindside from Survivor: Fiji – Edgardo

This is honestly one of my favorite blindsides ever and it came in Survivor: Fiji, which was before blindsides became a staple for the show. The backstory here was that Edgardo, Alex, Mookie, and Dreamz were in an alliance called The Four Horsemen, who thought they had things figured out.

Their plan was to play the idol for Alex at tribal council, but Dreamz snitched on them to the other members of the merged tribe and that’s when Stacy came up with the now every day strategy to vote for someone those with the idol wouldn’t expect.

In this case, it was Edgardo and the look on his face when the votes started coming his way was absolutely priceless.
